Q & A with Sam Bock, SDR Manager
Meet Sam, our Superhuman SDR Manager!
Located in New Mexico, Sam leads our SDR team in cold calling and appointment setting for our clients. He also leads weekly “Power Hour” events as our Power Hour Manager, tracking call team results and using his impressive artistry, creativity, and video editing skills to announce the winners.
With experience in real estate, management, and restaurant ownership, Sam has a long list of accomplishments, none of which are as important to him as being a good dad. He also credits the children he met while working in Treatment Foster Care for the invaluable life lessons and wisdom gained over the years, helping him to become the Superhuman he is today.
What Do You Enjoy Doing When You Are Not Working?
Sketching, playing board games with both kids, or video games by myself at 6 AM before the kiddos wake up.
What’s The Best Piece Of Sales Advice You’ve Heard Recently?
To be good at sales in any form or fashion, you must learn to “Listen and Respond,” not “Convince and Persuade.”
Are You An Early Bird or Night Owl?
USED to be a night owl, but now, I am certainly an early bird, so I can have my “me time” with my video games.
I refuse to play them when my children are awake. There are better things I could be doing WITH them, instead of by myself playing video games.
If You Could Live Anywhere In The World For A Year For Free, Where Would You Choose?
Probably either Denmark or Scotland. I would like to see my heritage, and the weather is much better than in New Mexico.
Tell Us What Inspires You, Or Provide Your Favorite Inspirational Quote
Hands down, my two kids inspire me to be greater than I am.
Bonus – a favorite quote I have up on my wall… “Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.”
Tell Us What Motivates You To Do What You Do Here, And How You Contribute To The Customer Experience
What motivates me is just to be better than the day before. I don’t always achieve this, but I certainly try every day! I like to contribute by simply being me on the phone. When I am talking to people, whoever it is, they are getting me, the same guy that would be talking to them in the line at the grocery store. I try to be as genuine as I always am.
People can sense fakeness, and it breeds mistrust. Human to Human is all about building trust and we need to do it quickly, and I feel that simply being yourself is the fastest way to do this.
